The Wedding of Anish & Lisa
There is a specific kind of magic that happens when a couple leans fully into their own style. Lisa and Anish did exactly that on November 14, 2025.
Set against the rustic, industrial-chic backdrop of Coriander Kitchen and Farm in Detroit, this wedding was a masterclass in intimacy, blending diverse traditions with a distinct, eccentric flair that felt entirely them. If you are looking for a Coriander Kitchen and Farm wedding inspiration that balances sentimental tradition with a laid-back party vibe, look no further.
Getting Ready & That Incredible Headpiece
We started the day quietly at home. The talented team at Be Pampered Bridal Detroit was on hand for hair and makeup, prepping Lisa for the day ahead. But the real showstopper? Lisa’s headdress. It wasn’t store-bought; it was a stunning, handmade piece of art crafted by a close friend. It gave the entire look a vintage, art-deco feel that set the tone for the rest of the visual narrative.

The Venue: Coriander Kitchen and Farm
If you haven’t been to Coriander Kitchen and Farm, you are missing out on one of Detroit’s most unique gems. We moved to the venue to capture the details before the guests arrived, and the atmosphere was electric. Bucket Works Detroit curated the floral designs and tablescapes, mixing mood and texture that perfectly complemented the venue’s scenic Detroit setting.
We have to take a second to shout out the owner, chef, and staff at Coriander. They were simply amazing. And let’s be honest—nothing makes a wedding vendor work harder than a good meal. (Hot take: If you feed your photo/video team well, the footage actually comes out 20% better. It’s science. And let’s just say, we felt totally spoiled by Lisa and Anish!)

A Ceremony of Traditions
The ceremony was where the heart of this film truly beats. It wasn’t just a quick exchange of rings; it was a weaving together of families right here in Detroit. We documented a beautiful progression of rituals:
- Heartfelt readings from family members.
- A traditional Tea Ceremony.
- A Saptapadi (Bonfire/Agni) ceremony, honoring their Promises to each other.
- A Hand Binding ceremony.
- Personal vows that left few dry eyes in the house.
Following the “I Do’s,” we slipped away for a short but fun blue hour session. We chased the last fading bits of that crisp November sunlight to capture some candid portraits before heading back to the warmth of the party.

The Reception & The Importance of Audio
Back inside, the party kicked off with incredible food and drinks prepared by Coriander (peep that oyster bar in the video—it was a hit!).
While the visuals of the day were stunning, as videographers, we know that audio is what anchors a memory. During the reception, the family speeches were profound. Being there to document those spoken words—the cracks in a voice, the laughter, the advice—is invaluable. Photos capture how you looked, but this film captures how you felt.

The Perfect 6-Hour Timeline
Lisa and Anish are the perfect example of how to maximize our 6-Hour Wedding Videography Package. You don’t always need 12 hours of coverage to tell a complete story. By focusing on the key moments—the ceremony richness, the portraits, and the main reception speeches—we created a film that feels full, emotional, and comprehensive without the day feeling like an all-day production.
If you are planning an intimate, personality-filled wedding at Coriander Kitchen and Farm or elsewhere in Detroit, we’d love to tell your story.
